Champions Tennis Tour

The Champions Tennis Tour, Russia, features the world’s most high profile players 35 years of age and over. The Tournament has the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and President Boris Yeltsin, who is an avid tennis player and fan.

Over a three-day period, eight senior tour players compete in singles and doubles competitions for $200,000 in prize money. Past tournaments have featured tennis stars like Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Yannick Noah, Bjorn Borg, John Lloyd, Henri Leconte, Jose-Luis Clerc, Guillermo Vilas and Johan Kreik, as well as legendary tennis coach, Nick Bollettieri.


Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters made their return to Russia after a long absence during the Cold War era. The last time the Globetrotters were in Russia was when the team featured basketball legend Wilt Chamberlin. The shows in St. Petersbur & Moscow were incredibly well received by old and young alike. The return of the Globetrotters marked the first time that any event sold out sports arena in Russia over 30 days in advance.

Nutcracker on Ice

American production of "Nutcracker on Ice" starring Linda Frattiani and Toller Crenston was staged for 7 days in Moscow's Olympyisky Sports Complex. Over a hundred thousand of Russian children enjoyed the magnificent performance of the famous Tchaikovsky's ballet. Produced by Comspan the show was televised on ORT Russian Television Network reaching 140,000 million in Russia.
